My current read is THE BOOK OF STRANGE NEW THINGS by Michel Faber. I started it yesterday, and am absolutely loving it so far. It’s one of those I-have-things-to-do-but-I-can’t-put-this-down kind of loves.
What I think I like most about it (besides the fact that Faber is a phenomenal writer) is that it reminds me ever so slightly of the movie, CONTACT, but if they’d sent Matthew Mcconaughey’s character into space, instead of Jodie Foster.
No spoilers or anything, but be honest with me if you’ve read it: is this book going to make me cry? Do I need to be reading it with a box of tissues handy? Should I maybe not read this one in public?
Let me know!
(And I’ll totally update y’all if it does indeed make me cry. Pretty sure it will, because I’m a big ol’ cry baby.)
